BCE provided design services for the temporary work bridge during the construction of the Orange Street Bridge. Our engineers had to get creative to provide sheet pile embankment retaining walls and cofferdams to hold back water and soil and also support 100 ton truck cranes daily, as well as 375 ton crawler cranes for drilled shaft construction. The work bridge required year round use and needed to support all phases of construction including bridge demolition and pre-stressed girder erection of the new bridge.
