The Northside Building #3 was an aggressive adaptive re-use project. Originally an agricultural building, the wood frame structure that remained provided the shell for the new commercial space. We were able to salvage many original pieces including the wood roof by adding new heavy timber and steel trusses to re-support the load as well as the corrugated metal siding on the exterior walls. A new concrete foundation was poured and the two-story space was infilled with new steel and wood mezzanine floors. The vibrant, recycled building now houses a coffee shop, retail stores, and office space.
