Goldsborough Creek Railroad Bridge – Shelton, WA

Design Team: TrueNorth Steel- Bridge Division
Simpson Lumber Company
Completion Date: Summer 2010

This steel plate girder bridge spans 85 feet across Goldsborough Creek, built on a spur line to access Simpson Lumber in Shelton, WA. There is a 38 degree skew to the bridge, which is rather acute and "out of the norm" in bridge standards. Four modules were assembled prior to shipment that were field bolted together and launched from one end. The bridge is designed for Cooper E50 loading and is constructed with ASTM A588 weathering steel throughout.
