Cable Stayed Stacker Conveyor – Carlin, NV

Owner: Selway Corporation

Our engineers had to get creative to provide the structural design for this 300’ long conveyor. A tapered truss consisting of single angle web members and structural tee chords supports the stacker conveyor. The bracing for the main tower is configured with a moment framed opening to allow the truss to pass through. The “cable” stays are 8” diameter pipes with strike plates.

Additional work for the Selway Corporation includes foundations for pre-manufactured buildings at the fabrication plant, structural steel bridge design, steel mine headframes, and bulk material handling and conveyor systems.
