Missoula Airport Blast Mitigation
Location: Missoula, MT
Client: Missoula County Airport Authority
Since September 11, 2001, airport security has become a significantly higher priority in the United States. BCE has worked closely with the Missoula County Airport Authority to protect the Terminal building at Missoula International Airport from terrorist threat requirements imposed by the FAA. While not the most aesthetically pleasing attributes at the airport, the blast mitigation walls, designed for easy construction and dismantlement will provide the Terminal building with protection against blast threat scenarios from vehicles parked adjacent to the facility. BCE has obtained approval by the FAA to design mitigation methods for airport protection against explosive threats. |
